Uh-huh, it's true. I am in a book.
A real book.
A published book.
Me.
Clyde.
In a book.
I bet if that happened to you, you'd be excited, too.
See, I've known this lady named Miss Connie since I was pretty little. Miss Connie is friends with my human, and I have to say she's one of my favorites of my human's friends. She has a nice lap, and she pets very soft and light, and she talks very soft and light, and I've never felt the need to run away from her. I'm a pretty timid soul, so people who talk soft and pet soft and don't scare me rate high in my book. And now that she's put me in one of her books, she really rates high!
See there? THIS IS THE BOOK with Clyde! But that isn't me on the cover. Those are sheep. They actually play a pretty insignificant role--much less significant than me--but for some reason they didn't put me on the cover. But that's okay, because I'm INSIDE the book. BY NAME and everything. And guess what else? Miss Connie made me human. You read that right. I'm not even a cat in the story, but I'm human just like Miss Connie and my human and The Hubs. I never thought that could happen, but Miss Connie made it happen. I'm pawsitive she's one of the nicest humans in the whole world to make me famous and everything.
My human was all excited not very long ago because she found out Miss Connie was a finalist for a special award--a Carol Award. Here's my human with Miss Connie and the book that was up for an award. I hope the book with me in gets to be a finalist for an award someday. Then I'd really be famous, don't you think?
Anyway, if you want to learn more about Miss Connie, you can go to her website. You might even get to learn about a kitty named Sweet Pea. (It's a little embarrassing, but Miss Connie had us married in the book. *blush* I'm much too young to think about marriage. Yet. But I won't hold it against Miss Connie. She did make me famous and everything, you know.)
Next week I'll let my human blog. But hopefully I'll get to visit again soon. Until then, I wish you warm laps, long naps, and lots of mousies to bat across the floor.
God bless you mousely...er, muchly as you journey with Him! ~Clyde Whisker Sawyer

Clyde says "Thank mew" for stopped by and reading his post, Dianna and Angela. He is handling his fame quite nicely.
ReplyDeleteClyde, you are a charmer. There is no wonder Miss Connie put you in a book. Now maybe your human will be brave and try that too. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great blog Clyde! I only have one problem though. It made Grayson jealous and now HE wants his own blog! Oh well, maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteYou have always been famous in my book but isn't it exciting to see yourself come to life - even as a human - and see what happens to you! Congratulations on your fame. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy - er cat! <3
SAYS CLYDE: Phyllis...wait...you mean this fame will only last 15 minutes??? I thought I'd be famous FOREVER! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteLynne, tell Grayson he can chat all he wants to on his Facebook Page. He's famous over there. >^..^<
Clyde, you are one handsome gentleman with a personality that makes me smile. I can see why Miss Connie couldn't resist putting you in her book!!! And I think you might have a career in marketing if you ever get tired of all that cat-napping! You really know how to pitch a book! Will you be pawtigraphing copies of the book at any bookstores? Bet that would make them fly off the shelves!
ReplyDeleteClyde, you'd better watch out for SAM. He'll get jealous! Just sayin'. I know for certain what happens THEN! But..Miss Connie's book rocks, so I guess I'm glad you're a human BEAN!
ReplyDeleteYea, Clydie cat! You are famous and we're so proud to know you!
ReplyDeleteKav, Clyde is not plotting how to put his "paw"tograph on Connie's book. That should keep him occupied for a day or two. :o)
ReplyDeleteEileen, you realize Sam saves his shenanigans for you, right? LOL
And Anonymous, Clyde thanks you for your cheer. He is most appreciative. :o)
Clyde, although i know you knew you were famous, and of course, we knew it to, your 15 minutes of fame is just for those who don't know you. For the rest of us, we'll be your faithful servants forever, just as you expect us to be. i love it that your character is in a book...i will read that one for sure!
ReplyDeleteDear Precious Clyde, this is wonderful mews! (ummm, News!). Congratulations on being in one of Miss Connie's books (a book I'm enjoying right now, as a matter of fact *smile*). You are such a handsome kitty and I'm certain you brighten your sweet human's days (as your post just brightened my day). ~ Hmmmm...now I understand why my Moses kept staying around my computer earlier...he was letting me know that YOU were blogging today! (yes, sometimes Moses gets to the computer before his Mom does). Enjoy all your well-deserved attention, Clyde--in my mind, you are PURR-fect. Love, Miss Patti Jo (Moses's Mom)
ReplyDeleteClyde thanks you for your reassurance, Marianne. He feels much better now. :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd Patti Jo, Clyde seems to think he and Moses have some sort of "secret cat-nection." I'm not going to argue with him about it. He says if Moses ever writes a blog, he'll be the first reader!
Oh, Clyde, I knew you before you were so famous, blogging and being put in as a charachter in a friends book. How far you have come in your career as your human's sidekick. So happy for you.
ReplyDeleteWow Clyde!! Congratulations! Just got back from a LONG day at work and read the blog...definitely brightened up my evening :-) Can't wait to read the book and see you! Congrats on your fame. Now Immy and Zara are jealous though. They're plotting what they can do to be put in a book...
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing.
